Geoff Clift
Geoff Clift is a barrister at William Forster Chambers in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Background
Geoff obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 1980 and was first admitted to practice in 1982. He practised in all areas in Tasmania until joining the Office of the Australian Government Solicitor in Darwin in 1984. Geoff subsequently joined the Adelaide office of Australian Government Solicitor in 1990. Whilst employed with the Commonwealth he undertook work in all areas within the portfolio administered by the Commonwealth Attorney General, including criminal and quasi criminal prosecutions.
Geoff left the Commonwealth in 1992 to take up employment with Messrs Ward Keller and became an Associate of that firm. Whilst with Ward Keller he specialised in work health, personal injuries, commercial and administrative law litigation. Geoff joined Messrs De Silva Hebron in 1999 and later became an Associate and Partner of that firm. He continued to specialise in work health, personal injuries, commercial and administrative law litigation until he commenced practice at the Bar in early 2003.
